El Molino del Tesorillo
Wednesday 07 May 2008

This project is based on a structure of a distinguished industrial building of the area. It was built in the 19th century by the Larios dynasty.  An exclusive housing scheme has been built on it consisting on 15 units with gardens, communal swimming pool, terraces, private parking and prime material in the construction. There is a choice of layouts comprising 2 or 3 bedrooms either on 1 level, 2 or 3 levels.

Take advantage of its priviledged location inside the quietness of the countryside but also a short distance from Sotogrande.

Monday 17 December 2007

The heads of seven leading cultural institutions, including the Sydney Opera House and London's Barbican Centre, gathered together on Friday in Spain to look for new ways to work together. The two-day meeting is in the north-western city of Aviles, which will be home to a space-age cultural centre designed by award-winning Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer that will be shared by the seven institutions. Work on the Niemeyer Cultural Centre, featuring a 1,000-seat auditorium, a 4,000 square metre (43,000 square feet) gallery and a multiplex cinema, is set to begin in March and is expected to last two years. The five other institutions that will share the space are the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, the Paris Pompidou Centre, New York's Lincoln Centre, the Alexandria Library in Egypt and the Tokyo International Forum.

Linus Fung, chief of cultural services at the Hong Kong Cultural Center, said he hoped a Chinese opera would be held during the opening season of the 30.5-million-euro (45-million-dollar) Niemeyer Cultural Centre. "This is a way to foster cultural exchange," he said at the meeting, dubbed the "G8 of culture" in a reference to the annual gathering of leaders of the Group of Eight leading nations.

Libro de Oro de Sotogrande 2007, presented/displayed in the City council of San Roque
Thursday 20 September 2007

Jose Antonio Ledesma, accidental mayor of San Roque, and Juan Carlos Galindo, councilman of Tourism, were the hosts of the official presentation of Libro de Oro de Sotogrande 2007. Ledesma described the occasion as “an important day in our bet for the tourism and is important also for the task of promoting the "destiny San Roque”.
The publisher of Grupo HCP Communication, Jose Luis Garci'a, emphasized that the official presentation of `Golden Book 2007' in the City council of San Roque was complementary after the presentation that took place the 15 of August in La Reserva Golf Club, when the book went out. “This book deals not only with Sotogrande, but also about all the municipal term and its bordering zones. It is an instrument to show all the potential of the zone as a tourist destiny of the  highest quality”. Jose Luis Garci'a, in addition, confirmed the intention of Grupo HCP to bring to light this book every two years.

Juan Carlos Galindo, councilman of Tourism, congratulated  the publishing group for the work  presented. Everything in this book”, said, “will cause that every day the number of visitors will raise.”.

San Roque has been known for being the mecca for golfers.  The most important task of our work in these next four years will be to create a tourist destiny and this it is a first step”.

Jose Antonio Ledesma closed the act standing out the importance of San Roque as tourist destiny and the work that is being made “to complete the initiated task done 15, 20 or 30 years ago, when the tourism did not have anything to do with what it is now. From 1997”, he said, “with the Ryder Cup, the explosion has been spectacular. `Destino San Roque' must be our slogan of future and it is here in the `Golden Book", the result of the work of Grupo HCP, that has been working for years to present everywhere in the world the essence of our municipality”.
